Corinthian Helmet
The Corinthian helmet was a cool piece of armor worn by ancient Greek soldiers called hoplites. It first appeared around the 7th century BCE and was made from a single piece of bronze!
This helmet covered the entire head and neck, with just narrow slits for the eyes and mouth. That made it super protective in battle, but kind of hard to see and hear through—so not great for conversations!
Even though it wasn’t the most comfy, the Corinthian helmet looked awesome and fierce. Its design became so famous that it’s still used today in statues, movies, and video games to show ancient Greek warriors.
Later on, soldiers started wearing helmets that were easier to use, but the Corinthian helmet stayed popular in art and as a symbol of Greek strength and bravery.
